Our Mission

All students with disabilities enrolled in our program will have full access to special education and related services as determined by the Individualized Education Program (IEP) team.

Kids Day

Kids Day 2026 at the Fresno Chaffee Zoo is a special event hosted by the Special Education Department of the Fresno County Superintendent of Schools for students with extensive support needs across Fresno County. In partnership with the zoo, the event features a “Sensory Safari” theme focused on animal engagement and resource conservation.

Students will enjoy interactive animal experiences, educational activities, entertainment, and connections with local community agencies. The participation of law enforcement, safety personnel, and community organizations helps create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where every child feels valued and celebrated.

Kids Day is made possible through the dedication of volunteers, partners, and sponsors who work together to provide a memorable and meaningful experience for Fresno County students.
